Breaking: CeeDee Lamb Under Fire for Poor Performance Against Giants

The second Thanksgiving game of this NFL season was between two bottom rung teams. On one hand, the New York Giants were almost throwing in the towel after having to start their third string QB. On the other hand, CeeDee Lamb Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys were playing for their pride.

When pride comes to the fore, usually athletes respond with unreal games to ensure they are not the ones being called out for the misery. The rest of the Dallas Cowboys probably had it on their minds as they took the lead at the half and held it to eventually win 27-20.

But CeeDee Lamb did not shine on a night when the second-highest paid receiver in the league should have. He caught only two catches for 39 yards. What mattered were the other four he couldn’t haul in, which could have helped him garner big numbers for his team. Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe took note of this via his X account.

Shannon Sharpe knows a thing or two about catching passes and how an elite receiver can make adjustments to offset a bad throw. Going by what Lamb believes himself to be, Sharpe found no indication that he was elite.

The 25-year-old was out of his depth tonight, as his three drops could have led to an embarrassing loss. Thankfully, his teammates bailed him out, and the Cowboys ended the Thanksgiving game chomping on Turkey.

Dallas Cowboys win to keep playoff hopes high despite CeeDee Lamb’s drops

Had CeeDee Lamb dropped that many passes against any decent team, they would have lost the game. But thanks to the fact that the New York Giants fielded third string QB Drew Lock, and their overall lack of a run game helped the Cowboys. It also helped that the Micah Parsons defense kept their end of the bargain.

But on offense, it was the emergence of Rico Dowdle that saved the day. The 5th year running back ran for 112 yards and crucially scored a rushing touchdown. If not for that score, the Dallas Cowboys could have faced overtime as the Giants started to get hot.

Dowdle’s emergence could be good news for the franchise considering they have not had a run game all season. But it does not take away from the fact that their most important superstar has to step up and lead.
