The Blue Jays acquired pitcher Nick Sandlin and Andres Gimenez from the Guardians in exchange for Spencer Horwitz and Nick Mitchell in one of the biggest trades of the offseason.

Sandlin went on MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM Thursday morning to speak on his play over the last few seasons as well address the trade earlier this week.
The Blue Jays pitcher spoke of adding the splitter to his pitch mix last season as he used it before but got comfortable with it last season and he also spoke about being excited to get to Toronto as he knows it will be a change of pace.
Sandlin should be a solid addition to the Blue Jays bullpen this season as he has put up very consistent numbers in the past few years with a 3.75 ERA in 2023 and 2024, which shows exactly how consistent he is.
If the Blue Jays can get exactly those type of numbers out of him next season, this will surely help their bullpen quite a bit, as they had multiple pitchers last season with an ERA over 5.00 in their bullpen.
While Sandlin seems like he will be a great addition, the Blue Jays still need to find a main closer after getting rid of Jordan Romano.
Chad Green could be a solid option but the free-agent market still has some great relief pitcher options that the Blue Jays can look at as well.
