Parsons Make History: Micah Parsons’ Dominant First Play vs. Commanders Cements His Status as NFL’s Top Defender
It did not take long for Dallas Cowboys‘ linebacker Micah Parsons to make an impact in Sunday’s finale against the Washington Commanders.
With this sack on the first play of the game, Parsons became the fourth player in NFL history to record 10 or more sacks in each of his first four seasons.
Parsons joined some elite company. The other three players to accomplish the feat are Reggie White, Derrick Thomas and Dwight Freeney. All three of those players are in the Hall of Fame.
Two plays later, Parsons recorded another sack on Washington QB Jayden Daniels to force a three-and-out on the Commanders’ opening drive.
Coming into Week 18, Parsons had 27 solo tackles, 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
While the Cowboys were eliminated from postseason contention weeks ago, Parsons continues to be a force on defense and a rare bright spot for Dallas this season.
