Arsenal’s next five fixtures compared to Man City and Liverpool in title race after October internationals
Arsenal are back in action this week as they look to return to the Premier League title challenge in fine form once again.
Mikel Arteta managed to survive a difficult few weeks before the October international break rolled around, which included a North London Derby against Tottenham as well as the test of Manchester City.
The Gunners still had a challenging time of it against Leicester City and Southampton, but emerged victorious anyway.
With the side now third – level on points with Man City and one point behind leaders Liverpool – there is an intriguing title battle on the cards.
So with that said, here’s a look at the next five Arsenal fixtures in the Premier League and how they compare to their rivals.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal
Arsenal return to action on Saturday with an away trip to the south coast, taking on AFC Bournemouth in a tough match.
The Cherries have started in inconsistent fashion, winning two, drawing two and losing three of their first seven matches.
Manager Andoni Iraola knows Arteta well and will be looking to cause him a scare or two when hosting the Gunners.
With a high-pressing style of play, Arsenal won’t be in for an easy time when they visit the Vitality Stadium.

Arsenal vs Liverpool
Arsenal then host Liverpool in a huge clash between two teams seemingly battling it out to win the title this season.
The Reds have started well under Arne Slot, winning six of their opening seven games, with just one defeat thrown in the mix.
Defensively, the Merseyside outfit have performed well, conceding just twice in the Premier League so far this season.
The caveat to that is they are yet to face a team in the upper echelons of the table, with the Gunners set to test them on that.

Newcastle vs Arsenal
Another difficult challenge awaits Arsenal shortly after as they make the trip to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle.
The Magpies are traditionally tough to break down in front of their home fans, which will prove to be a task in itself.
Eddie Howe started the season well, picking up three wins, but a defeat and two draws since have seen them slip down the table slightly.
Injury issues, particularly to star striker Alexander Isak, has caused problems for the side who are looking to pick up their form slightly.

Chelsea vs Arsenal
Another test away from home follows as Chelsea host Arsenal in another London derby for the current campaign.
The Blues have started well under new boss Enzo Maresca, winning four, drawing two and losing just one game so far.
That has left them in fourth and just three points behind the Gunners while heading into the October international break.
Arteta will have to be careful to nullify the threat Chelsea have from the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, while they have plenty of depth in the squad too.

Liverpool’s good start may be impacted by the difficult run of fixtures they have in the weeks ahead of them.
Arne Slot’s side face two of the current top four – and four of the current top six – alongside a Brighton side that took points off of Arsenal and an Aston Villa team more than capable of an upset.

Games against relegation battlers Wolves and Southampton await them just after the international break before the test of Bournemouth.
Fixtures turn a bit trickier against Brighton and Tottenham, but Pep Guardiola will be hopeful of picking up a clean sweep of victories.

When is the next Premier League international break?
There is one more international break before 2025, which will take place in early November to bring things to an end.
That break begins on November 11th, with teams returning to action on November 23rd for a longer stretch of Premier League action.
The next international break won’t be until March 2025, giving several months of football before another stoppage.
