Swift Honours Kelce, Chiefs With Customized Lyric During Eras Tour
Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour has been anything but dull and as the tour approaches its end, the singer is amping up her stage performance. Swift resumed her tour in the USA after wrapping up her Europe leg. However, it seems her performance was not the only thing that caught the eye.
Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce was playing the same night at the singer’s concert. Kelce’s team, Kansas City Chiefs defeated the 49ers in San Francisco. In a moment of celebration Taylor cleverly included the Chiefs’ win in her song while performing.
Taylor Swift returned to touring after a two-month break from completing her Europe leg. The singer began her final phase of the Eras Tour, in Miami. On October 20, during her third show, Taylor surprised fans with an interesting lyric change in her ‘Karma’ song. The singer sang, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me” instead of “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me.”
Swifties were left excited as Taylor celebrated her boyfriend’s team win. This is not the first time, the ‘Midnight’ singer altered her lyrics. However, in the past, Taylor staged her lyric change in front of Kelce. The first time Taylor changed the lyrics to her song was in Argentina, where Kelce was seen dancing with the singer’s father, Scott Swift.
Taylor Swift began the final leg of her Eras Tour in Miami, USA, on October 18. The Tour began in March 2023 and has since covered Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. The remaining months will see the tour cover New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto. Finally, it will end in Vancouver, Canada, in December.
Moreover, Taylor announced the release of her Eras Tour Book, vinyl, and CDs on Instagram. They will be available in Target from November 29. Taylor wrote, “Excited to announce that The Official Eras Tour Book, filled with my own personal reflections, never-before-seen behind the scenes photos, all the magical memories you guys brought every single night.”
