Devin Booker‘s start to the 2024-25 NBA season hasn’t been the best, but it hasn’t bothered him. Booker finished Monday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers with 13 points on 16.7% shooting from the field. Even with his struggles, he remains optimistic moving forward.
The Phoenix Suns are on a five-game winning streak and Booker has struggled in the past two games. In their 103- 97 win against the Portland Trail Blazers, the All-Star guard had 28 points. However, he struggled to get the 28 points, shooting 9-for-23 in the field and 2-for-10 from downtown.
Booker discussed his thoughts on his recent shooting slump after their victory over the Sixers.
“You just flush it,” Booker said. “Thankfully it came in a win. That’s what the game’s about, but obviously frustrated. Just missing shots I feel I can make.”
The four-time All-Star talked about the difference for the team as they now have a 6-1 record.
“I don’t want to make the comparison from last year to this year, but just a new light, new energy. We understand how talented we are and I think we’re simplifying a lot of stuff, too. I think that’s probably the biggest thing. Just simplifying our actions, understand where we’re going to go to late in games. What our defensive adjustments are going to be late in games and we go and execute.”
