Shocker: Cubs Veteran Nearing Exit, Angels Deal Close

The Chicago Cubs will have a lot of decisions to make this winter.

Chicago clearly will be looking to add after missing the playoffs again in 2024. The Cubs brought Craig Counsell into the mix to lead the organization into the future, and now they will need to add more reinforcements this winter.

Most of the chatter will be about who the club could add in free agency or the trade market. While this is the case, members of the organization could also end up leaving. Veteran starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks is someone who is a free agent after spending the first 11 seasons of his big league career with the Cubs.

It seems like he will be leaving the organization this winter as 670 The Score’s Bruce Levine reported on Wednesday that Hendricks is “close” to signing a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
