The eight fixtures Arsenal play straight after each Champions League game as schedule confirmed
Arsenal are preparing for a campaign of balancing the Premier League with the Champions League in hopes of winning both.
The Gunners returned to the top European competition last year but fell short after being knocked out by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta suffered a similar fate in the Premier League as he and his side pushed Manchester City to the finishing line, but narrowly missed out.
This time around, Arsenal will be looking to go one step further but face some new challenges ahead of them.
The new Champions League format means more matches and a different schedule for the team to handle.
There is also the difficulty of dealing with the Premier League matches directly after their European forays, so here’s a look at the full schedule for the north London outfit.
Full Arsenal Champions League fixture schedule
Arsenal discovered their Champions League opponents for the league phase, which included some huge matches.
The Gunners will take on PSG, Inter Milan, Shakhtar Donetsk, Atalanta, Dinamo Zagreb, Sporting CP, AS Monaco and Girona.
It’s a mix of teams over eight fixtures which will put Arteta and his side to the test both physically and mentally.
While the draw was initially made, the schedule had to be sorted out slightly later to ensure clashes weren’t made.
