Week 11 DFS Guide: Vikings at Titians Start…

It might be a little risky playing any of the players from the matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Tennessee Titans. After all, both teams have defenses that are among the best in the league. It also doesn’t help that Sam Darnold is coming off a triple-interception game, but rest assured that some of the players who take the field in this matchup will have good days that smart DFS players can capitalize on.

Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans Start Em’

Minnesota Vikings RB Aaron Jones (Draft Kings Price 6.9K, FanDuel Price 7.6K)

Considering that the Minnesota Vikings are surely favored to win this game, Aaron Jones should have a positive game script in this matchup. Even if he doesn’t score early, he would be guaranteed garbage-time carries if the Vikings have the lead late. On top of that, the Titans are only ranked 13th in run defense, while they lead the league in pass defense. Either way, Aaron Jones is looking at a lot of volume in this game.

Tennessee Titans WR Calvin Ridley (Draft Kings Price 6.2K, FanDuel Price 6.4K)

Thanks to the departure of Deandre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley has become the number one target in the Tennessee Titan offense. He isn’t doing bad in this role either, seeing as he caught two touchdowns against the Los Angeles Chargers. Due to his status, he demands a lot of targets and is probably the only reliable receiver on the Titans for DFS purposes.

Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (Draft Kings Price 4.7K, FanDuel Price 6.5K)

This name has been out of the sports news for a while, seeing as he was injured to begin the season and hasn’t impressed hard since his return. The key stat to look at, though, is the nine targets he got in the win against Jacksonville. It’s clear that Darnold wants Hockenson to get the ball often, so there is a strong chance he will look like 2023 T.J. Hockenson in this game.

Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans Sit Em’

Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard (Draft Kings Price 6.4K, FanDuel Price 6.9K)

Pollard has been a little over the place since he arrived in Tennessee. He certainly has had some breakout games (including his performance against New England), but there is little evidence to show that he will match those numbers against the Vikings. The game script looks bad for Pollard, as Levis will likely have to throw a lot to keep them in this game. On top of that, the Vikings have a very physical defense that can cut off lanes for Pollard to run into.

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison (Draft Kings Price 5.1K, FanDuel Price 5.8K)

Over the past four weeks, Jordan Addison has seen a drawback in targets. There could be many reasons for this: offensive strategy, the return of T.J. Hockenson, etc.. If Addison is going to have a comeback game, though, it likely won’t be against Tennessee’s number 1 ranked pass defense. Over the past two games (since Hockenson’s return), Addison got five targets per game and could scratch 50 yards in either of them.

Boyd’s presence has been limited on the field thanks to a shoulder injury. He currently is 100% ready to play, but he hasn’t seen too many snaps recently. He will likely need some time to get back in a flow, and the Vikings defense isn’t the best opponent to necessarily do that against. Especially if Levis is pressured in the pocket, he might just look downfield for Ridley and ignore Boyd.

Justin Jefferson has earned the status of being a player nobody should ever really sit. This would still apply if the Vikings are playing the tough pass defense of the Tennessee Titans. Darnold needed to get chemistry with Jefferson quickly for this offense to click, and that’s exactly what he has done so far this season. The matchup won’t stop Darnold from targeting Jefferson at all.

Will Levis has only thrown over 200 yards in one game this season. That is not a promising statistic to have when they are facing a prominent defense in Minnesota. Levis also lost a target in Deandre Hopkins, so he will need to force the ball into Calvin Ridley’s talented hands as much as possible. If not, he will probably have a down game regardless of how much mayo he puts in his coffee.
