Batilmore’s Elite Talent on Full Display: 3 Ravens Players Selected to All-AFC Playoff Team, Despite Division Round Exit
The Baltimore Ravens concluded the 2024 NFL season with a commendable 12-5 record, securing the AFC North title for the second consecutive year.
Their postseason journey began with a 28-14 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round but ended in a narrow 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional round.
Despite the early playoff exit, the Ravens’ performance was marked by several standout individual contributions.
In this year’s CBS Sports 2025 All-AFC Playoff Team, three Ravens players received notable recognition:
Derrick Henry, Running Back
Henry’s postseason performance was exceptional, highlighted by his dominant rushing against the Steelers. It was a fitting postseason following his remarkable regular season campaign in year one with Baltimore.
“Henry is third in the NFL in postseason rushing yards despite playing in just two games. Henry destroyed Pittsburgh’s defense in the wild-card round, rumbling for 186 yards and two touchdowns.” Wrote CBS Sports analyst Bryan DeArdo. “He averaged 5.3 yards per carry in Baltimore’s divisional round loss to the Bills.”
Ronnie Stanley, Offensive Tackle
His performance in the playoffs and regular season was very decent and earned him a spot on this list. While there is some speculation about what the offensive lineman will do this season, it’s hard to ignore his contributions in the playoffs in particular.
“Stanley showed what he could do when healthy after injuries plagued him earlier in his career,” DeArdo said about the Notre Dame graduate. “The 2016 first-round pick played an integral role in Baltimore’s offensive line’s success against Buffalo and Pittsburgh.”
Nnamdi Madubuike, Defensive Tackle
Madubuike put up some really good numbers in the playoffs and is a player to keep an eye on for the coming season. He made big plays in the biggest games of the season.
“Madubuike’s 2.5 playoff sacks are the most for an AFC defensive tackle,” DeArdo said. “He took down Russell Wilson twice in Baltimore’s wild-card playoff win over Pittsburgh.”
The contributions the Ravens players provided were pivotal in both securing the AFC North title and advancing through the playoffs. It will be pivotal for the team to retain them for the coming season while building their roster even further to try and avoid postseason shortcomings.
