Bears Fans Left Wanting More: No Pro-Bowl Caliber Players on the Roster
Considering the fan vote only counts towards a third of the NFL Pro Bowl selections, the players who make it aren’t as much of a popularity contest as in years past. That said, the Chicago Bears didn’t have one player make the top ten in fan voting at any position.
The players and the coaches are the other two-thirds of the vote, so it’s still possible the Bears could get a player selected to play in the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce led the fan vote with 252,200, and Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs was close behind at 250,082. Rounding out the top five were Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (242,352), Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (239,526), and Detroit QB Jared Goff (225,858).
No team had more fan votes than the Lions, and they were followed by the Minnesota Vikings, the Commanders, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cornerback Jaylon Johnson is the best bet for the Bears to have representation at the Pro Bowl game. However, his 2024 season wasn’t as impactful as last season, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Bears were shut out once all votes are counted.
