Bosa vs. Kittle: The Beef is Real: George Kittle Fires Back at Nick Bosa’s Shocking Comments
The 49ers wrapped up a disappointing 2024 season with a disappointing loss on Sunday, being eviscerated by the Arizona Cardinals 47-24. After the game, 49ers defensive captain Nick Bosa had some choice words.
“It’s hard to look guys in the faces as the leader on the team and that’s the product that we kept putting out game after game,” Bosa said Sunday. “It’s pretty embarrassing.”
Offensive captain George Kittle, on the other hand, did not share Bosa’s sentiment.
“I can look all my teammates in the face,” Kittle told the media on Monday. “I put my all out there. A lot of the guys, they put their all out there as well. I have no shame in that. You can go check the tape, and if you’re okay with your resume which is on the tape, then you should be okay with your season.”
“Our standards for this organization are significantly higher,” Kittle said. “Our expectations for ourselves were higher. Our goals were higher and we didn’t achieve any of them. It’s disappointing.”
The two players had drastically different seasons, with Bosa matching his career-low total in sacks in a healthy season, meanwhile Kittle had his second best season in terms of yards and touchdowns.
The two players seemingly have different outlooks on the season and their teammates. With Bosa’s pessimistic view of his teammates, suggesting that perhaps everyone didn’t pull their weight contrasting Kittle’s view that everyone tried their hardest and things didn’t work out, it will be interesting to see how the locker room looks and feels next season. Both players are baked into the 49ers plans moving forward, as leaders both on and off the field.
