Braves’ Worst Fears Confirmed: Braves’ Opening Day Lineup May Be Without…

The Atlanta Braves struggled to stay healthy in 2024.

That is a pretty big understatement. Atlanta lost multiple stars for big chunks of the season. The Braves have one of the deepest rosters in baseball and an aggressive front office, and therefore, it was able to weather the storm and earn a playoff spot. But, the club didn’t make a deep run without some of their top stars like Ronald Acuña Jr. or Spencer Strider.

Strider made just two starts in 2024 after winning 20 games in 2023. Acuña appeared in just 49 games after winning the 2023 National League Most Valuable Player Award. Those two losses were too much for the club to completely overcome.

The Braves are opening for better health in 2025, but unfortunately, it seems like both Acuña and Strider won’t be ready for Opening Day, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Justin Toscano.
