Breaking: Chiefs Make History: Team’s Latest Achievement Cement Status as NFL Powerhouse

Christmas Day was a big day for the NFL as week 17 started early. Kicking off the second to last week of the regular season were the Kansas City Chiefs going on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Kansas City Chiefs showed why they are still one of the top threats to potentially win their third consecutive Super Bowl title as they crushed the Steelers 29-10. This was their sixth consecutive win and they have locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC Playoffs.

The Chiefs accomplished something bigger; something they have never done in the history of their franchise.

Chiefs get win No. 15; an all-time high

The Chiefs’ win over the Steelers might be one of their most convincing wins of the season, not just from a points perspective, but from their play on both sides of the field.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns on 29 completions with only nine incompletions. The Chiefs’ defense forced the Steelers to turn the ball over twice.

That win gave Kansas City their 15th of the season; which is the most in franchise history. They’ve had two seasons where they accumulated 14 wins which were the years that they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII and the year they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.

The Chiefs have a chance to add more to their incredible season and tack on more wins. Kansas City has a chance to finish the regular season strong with a win over the Denver Broncos (9-6).

The Chiefs will likely rest most of their stars in order to keep them healthy for the playoffs. They will have three more games, if they are efficient enough, to get all the way up to win No. 19 with a fifth Super Bowl title.
