Breaking: Derrick Brown Get a New Partner in Crime: 23-Sack Superstar Pass Rusher Joins Panthers’ Star DT
Now that the Carolina Panthers can roll with Bryce Young through 2025, they’ll be able to focus on upgrading the rest of the roster opposed to worrying about the quarterback position. This should be an interesting offseason for the Panthers, who currently own the No.8 pick in April’s draft and have nearly $22 million in cap space prior to cuts.
They should be able to land a premium player in the draft, as there’s plenty of highly-touted prospects expected to go within the top 10. Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports predicted that Carolina will select Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter in his recent mock draft.
Carter certainly raised his draft stock even more after a strong performance in the College Football Semifinal against Notre Dame, as he was consistently in the backfield. He amassed 23 sacks during his three years with the Nittany Lions and is undoubtedly the best pass rusher in this year’s draft class.
