Breaking: Devin Booker Under Fire: Booker’s Criticism Sets Off Firestorm in Phoenix

Tensions are beginning to rise in the Phoenix Suns locker room as their season has hit a recent rough patch.

After starting the season 8-1, the Suns now hold a 17-19 record, which has them sitting 12th in the Western Conference standings and outside of the playoff picture. With the Suns having one of the NBA’s largest payrolls in the NBA and a star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, they were not expected to be a fringe playoff team, but they have been one this season.

As the Suns look to turn their season around, they have been in plenty of trade rumors this season and they have begun to heat up over the past few weeks. Most rumors have them trading away Beal and Jusuf Nurkić, while they have also been linked to Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat.

While most of the Suns’ players have addressed their recent trade rumors, Booker has not, which led to a former Suns’ legend criticizing his leadership skills.

NBA Hall of Famer and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley recently called out Booker and gave his reason as to why the Suns are interested in Butler.

“I said to you guys last year, maybe Devin could be that guy,” Barkley said. “Devin’s a hell of a player. But I think he’s just too nice of a guy also. He doesn’t hold the other guys accountable. I think that’s why they want to get Jimmy Butler.”

This is not the first instance of the Suns’ players being criticized for their leadership this season, and it looks as though their big three will eventually lead to being a complete failure unless they can somehow turn their terrible season around.
