Breaking: Kevin Durant’s Comments on Betting Sends Internet into…
At 36 years old, Phoenix Suns superstar forward Kevin Durant remains one of the most dangerous bucket-getters in the NBA. He started the 2024-25 NBA season scoring at least 25 points in each of the Suns’ first four games and entered Thursday’s showdown on the road versus the Los Angeles Clippers on a three-game 30-point streak.
Many thought that the former league Most Valuable Player would be able to go off again against the Clippers, a team that he torched for 25 points in a season-opening win in Inglewood on Oct. 23.
Kevin Durant trolls bettors after Phoenix Suns’ massive comeback win vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Prior to the LA rematch, Durant had an over/under of around 26.5 on his points prop. But he never even scored 20 points. It looked as though he was going to surpass the line when he ended the third quarter with 18 points, but he never scored another point after that.
He did not even attempt a single field goal in the final period. One can only imagine the heartbreak it gave the bettors who wagered on the over of that prop.
Durant couldn’t care less, though.
“Great dub suns, and for my parlayers, better luck next time lol,” Durant shared in a post on X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter) after the game.
The Suns managed to beat Los Angeles again, 125-119, despite being down by as many as 21 points during the contest. Durant had a big role in the comeback even though he did not score in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Devin Booker went off for 40 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the floor.
Phoenix, which now carries a 4-1 record, will look to keep rolling, as it plays the Portland Trail Blazers at home this coming Saturday.
