Breaking: Parsons Speaks Truth to Power! Cowboys’ Linebacker Calls Out Lack of Respect for Team’s Achievement

The 2024 NFL season has been getting worse for the Dallas Cowboys (5-8) the closer it gets to postseason.

The Cowboys aren’t mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but they will be soon, especially after another devastating game on Monday Night Football.

The Cowboys lost a winnable game at home to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-20 on Monday Night Football. Many players and fans took the loss hard, but no one took the loss harder than star edge rusher Micah Parsons.

Micah Parsons made storylines for his comments

Parsons was trending on social media based on his emotions displayed on the sidelines and the way he walked off the field. These are just examples of the type of season that the Cowboys are having.

It didn’t get easier for Parsons, he had to talk about the disappointing game results how the bad luck is snowballing getting worse in this disappointing season.

He said: “Between the players, I mean in some situations. I won’t say its snowballing. It seems like we’re paying a due that’s not fair. I don’t know if its bad luck or karma but in terms of work ethic, everyone is working so hard.

“I think we really did well, could have done a little better containing. I think we gave up some points, but you’re telling me that held Joe Burrow to 20 points with two minutes left for our offense. The way we were moving the ball, I think we could have won the game.”

Bad luck continues to hit the Cowboys

The Cowboys had a chance to continue the win streak they had developed in the previous two weeks by making it three in a row with a win on Monday.

The Cowboys felt they had a break by sacking Burrow on third down to force fourth down. On the following punt from Cincinnati, the Cowboys partially blocked the punt but Amani Oruwariye fumbled the blocked punt, allowing the Bengals to recover the ball.

From there, the Bengals only needed three plays to score capped off with a 40-yard passing touchdown from Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase to take a 27-20 lead with 1:01 left in the game. The Cowboys only had five plays for 18 yards in their final drive to turn the ball over on downs.

Burrow threw for 359 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while Chase caught 14 receptions for 177 yards and two touchdowns. The Cowboys’ defense had good moments by getting to Burrow early and often that includes two sacks and eight quarterback hits. The secondary, however, struggled to contain Chase and the Bengals’ pass-catchers. Parsons didn’t have a statistic outside of two quarterback hits.

The Cowboys must win all four remaining games on their schedule to have a chance for a wild card spot. Three of the four opponents remaining have records above .500%.
