Breaking: Ravens Legend Unleash Scathing Attack on Steelers Patrick Queens
Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Bart Scott took a shot at Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen during a Get Up segment on Friday morning. Scott was discussing how Derrick Henry is going to tear up the Buffalo Bills linebackers on Sunday night, who are considered undersized.
“Didn’t I just watch Derrick Henry step on Patrick Queen’s chest last week?” Scott said.
Midway through the third quarter, the Ravens had 242 yards rushing against Pittsburgh. It was the most rushing yards allowed by the Steelers in a postseason game. The previous high was 232 yards at Oakland in 1973. Baltimore finished with 299 yards rushing (6.0 average).
Henry broke the record with a 44-yard touchdown run up the middle to enhance Baltimore’s lead to 28-7 at the 5:49 mark of the third quarter.
Henry finished with 186 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He’s averaged a whopping 7.2 yards per carry. Henry’s 186 yards on the ground also set the all-time playoff rushing record against the Steelers. The previous record was 166, set by Curtis Martin in the 1996 Divisional Round game.
Scott and Queen have a past history. Scott said before the Steelers-Ravens Week 11 game that Queen was in for a rude awakening.
“Even though we hate the Steelers, we respect them, and we’ll never admit that out loud,” Scott said o Get Up. “But every once in a while, you get a Judas. And the Judas is Patrick Queen. He went over to the dark side. He’s going to learn. He’s gonna mess around and find out.
Queen caught wind of Scott’s remarks and clapped back following the Steelers’ 18-16 win over Baltimore on Sunday.
“@BartScott57 talk that talk now boy I BEEN THAT! Yo stats took you 12 years I’m in year 5 and right there,” Queen wrote on X.
Queen backed up his talk and led the Steelers with 10 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a tackle for loss. Queen’s forced fumble and recovery late in the second quarter was a crucial play in the game, as it resulted in a Chris Boswell 32-yard field goal to give the Steelers a 9-7 lead at halftime. The Steelers probably don’t beat the Ravens in Week 11 without Queen’s strip on Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday on X that Queen had the flu in last Saturday night’s loss to the Ravems Queen had to received four IV bags before the game, in which he totaled 10 tackles, six being solo efforts. Queen was making his second trip back to Baltimore, the city he left for Pittsburgh in free agency last offseason.
