Chandler Parsons Unleashes On Knicks: Backlash Erupt After Scathing Comments

Florida Gator alumnus Chandler Parsons has made a bold statement about the New York Knicks’ playoff destiny this year.

On his show with Fanduel, “Run it Back,” Parson unveiled a harsh reality for overzealous Knicks fans.

“People are saying that the New York Knicks on paper have the best roster going into the preseason,” Parsons said. “They have so much championship hopes. Nobody saw Cleveland doing what they’re doing, and Boston’s well respected. But they’re gonna have a tough time getting out of the first round. let alone competing for a championship.”

Parsons certainly didn’t shy away from how adamant he was on the Knicks being unable to compete for a championship this year. Several fans took Parsons’ words to heart and commented on the tweet.

“I’ve been saying this. Detroit will give us a run for our money. Can’t defend the three. Get Kat to switch onto the ball handler and it’s a wrap,” wrote one fan.

“Accurate, this team is closer to a 1st round exit versus an ECF appearance. This roster is more expensive and less depth. The 2024 offseason deserves more scrutiny,” added another.

“As a Knicks fan he ain’t wrong ngl,” commented one user.

“He right tho, no point of living in imaginary land,” chimed in another.

Even Knicks fans aren’t too weary of their teams’ playoff fate this year. A majority of the fans agree with Parsons’ take and emphasize that the Pistons will be an extremely tough out for the Knicks if that’s who they draw in the first round.

For a Knicks fanbase that has been desperately seeking a championship, it hurts to hear the former alum Parsons’ words. A team that went all in on free agency by acquiring Mikal Bridges and Karl Anthony Towns, it is championship or bust for the Knicks.
