Cleveland Browns’ Collapse: Myles Garrett Trade Talk Fuels the Fire: Team’s Season Spiralling Out of Control
The Cleveland Browns will look to play upset when they face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
The Browns have the chance to knock Miami out of playoff contention with a win. However, regardless of the outcome of the game, Cleveland is far out of the postseason with a 3-12 record.
After the Browns’ loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week, superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett put some pressure on the front office to show him a plan to win in the immediate future, otherwise he could request a trade elsewhere.
“I mean first of all I want to win. I want the Browns to be able to put me and us in position to win. I’m not trying to rebuild,” said Garrett. “I want that to be apparent, when the season’s over and we have those discussions, I want them to be able to illuminate that for me, illustrate that for me, so that can be something that I can see in the near future.”
Now, with the game against the Dolphins quickly approaching, fellow defensive star Denzel Ward is putting that same pressure on the team.
“I’m ready to win as well,” said Ward. “I know Myles is too. We’re competitors and winners and we’re just looking to try to find a way to get to the top. Obviously not have the losing season like we have now. We’re just looking for, how to get there. When they show Myles [the plan], I’ll just look over Myles shoulder and see what the plan is.”
With the offseason just weeks away, a plan may need to come quickly before some stars grow tired of the team’s recent disappointing performances.
