Curry on the Cusp of Greatness! Warriors Star Poised to Shatter Records and Make History
Golden State Warriors Point Guard Stephen Curry is a mere 31 made three-pointers away from 4,000 during his illustrious career. The four-time NBA champion has been seemingly reinvigorated by the arrival of Forward Jimmy Butler at the Miami Heat at the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline. Golden State is 7-1 since Butler came to town.
Curry is coming off one of the best games of his career on Friday night. He scored 56 points and knocked down 12 three-pointers against the Orlando Magic in a performance for the ages. When will the all-time great hit this milestone?
When Will Stephen Curry Make History?
Curry, already considered the best shooter in league history, is leading the NBA with 4.4 made triples per game this season. Assuming the two-time NBA MVP can maintain his pace, he will need approximately seven games to make 31 more triples. The Golden State Warriors return to the court tonight on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Curry faced the Sixers on January 2. He was tremendous. Curry scored 30 points and shot 8-0f-8 from downtown. It was the most made triples without a miss during his career. He will look for a repeat of that performance tonight. Following tonight’s game, Golden State’s road trip continues with games against the Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks , and Brooklyn Nets.
Final Thoughts
Assuming Curry can maintain his pace, he is slated to hit his 4,000th career three-pointer on Thursday, March 13 at home against the Sacramento Kings. Even though it may not happen, it would be better if the NBA legend could hit this milestone in front of the home fans. Fortunately for him, the Warriors begin a six-game homestand once their road trip concludes. The NBA world will be locked in as the best shooter in league history continues adding to his storied legacy.
