Dynamic Weapon Added: How Latest Mock Draft Pick Helps Bryce Young
The Carolina Panthers have had their fair share of downs, but they have also experienced a lot of success recently.
They’ve won two of their last three matchups, with their only loss coming by one score to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12.
Byrce Young looks significantly more confident as a starter since returning from his early season benching, and he’s given Panthers fans something to look forward to in 2025. And in the latest A to Z Sports mock draft, they land Young, a big, reliable wide receiver.

“Bryce Young is playing significantly better football now than he was earlier in the season but their group of weapons still needs work fortifying. They took Xavier Legette in the first round last year and Jalen Coker was a nice find as an undrafted free agent, but Tetairoa McMillan can be a difference-maker.
He stands at 6-5″ and uses his frame very well to box out defenders and catch the ball away from his body. Continuing to build around Young should be a priority for the Panthers.”
Tetairoa McMillan out of Arizona is third in the county in receiving yards with 1,251 yards, and both players ahead of him have 12 and 16 more catches than him. His biggest asset as a draft prospect will be something no one can deny: his 6’5″ frame. McMillan should be at the very top of their WR rankings if a team is looking for a big-bodied WR to man their X WR role.
The fit is questionable for the Panthers, with them already having Xavier Legette. But I honestly think both McMillan and Legette have enough speed to be interchangeable as the X and Z WRs. Those two, paired with Jalen Coker in the slot, create quite the WR trio for Young and the Panthers’ offense to develop and grow with. And if Young keeps up his recent play, who’s to say they couldn’t be in a position to compete for the NFC South crown as early as next season?
