From Foe to Friend: Draymond Green Praises…
The summer addition of Kyle Anderson wasn’t exactly met with huge fanfare, but it’s undoubtedly a move that helps the Golden State Warriors. According to Draymond Green, having Anderson is valuable because he helps the team win games, even if it doesn’t reflect in the box score.
“He’s one of those guys I hated playing against, I told y’all before,” Green said via NBC Sports Bay Area. “He got a steal either last year or a couple years ago where I was throwing a pass and he reached his long-ass arm out and took the ball and I’m like, ‘Yo, how did he get the ball?’ ”
“I’ve always hated to play against him (Anderson),” Kerr said, echoing Green’s sentiments. “He was always one of those guys who just seemed like when he came in against us, things went south. It’s great to have him on our side.”
Kyle Anderson was pivotal during the Golden State Warriors’ back-to-back set against the New Orleans Pelicans. When Golden State trailed by 20 points early in their first matchup, the former No. 30 pick played a huge role in their comeback, despite scoring only one point, since he also had two rebounds, four assists, and five of the team’s 15 steals.
The 31-year-old did better on the offensive end in the second match, notching 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block on 4-for-4 shooting in 15 minutes of action.
