From Tears to Triumph: Toescar Hernandez’s World Series Journey
The Los Angeles Dodgers won it all this year as they overcame the New York Yankees in the World Series. Teoscar Hernandez who was one of the key members of the team, penned down an emotional note on Monday.
The outfielder signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers in the previous offseason. In a star-studded squad of Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman, Hernandez made a name for himself with his strong performances.
He smashed a career-high 33 home runs and was named as an All-Star this year. Apart from that, he also won the Home Run Derby this year, showing off his incredible slugging ability.
The 32-year-old took to his Instagram account recently and penned down a message. In the post, he shared the highlights of his 2024 season and expressed gratitude towards the Dodgers fans.
What a year! I want to take a moment to thank all the fans for their incredible support throughout this season. You are the driving force that pushes us to give our best in every game, and your energy and passion are felt in every corner of the stadium.

Following the expiration of his contract, Hernandez will become a free agent. The Dodgers have extended a $21.05 million qualifying offer to him.

The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their eighth World Series title with a massive victory parade on November 1. The team would reach their home stadium and celebrate inside with the fans. During this celebration, Teoscar Hernandez was left visibly emotional by the support of the fans.
As soon as he started his speech, the fans inside the stadium would roar in approval. The Dominican international would later thank the team for making him a “world champion“.

At the victory parade, Hernandez expressed his wish to re-sign with the team. He added that he would do “anything in his power” to ensure a comeback to the team in the 2025 season.
Hernandez now has time till November 19 to decide whether to accept the qualifying offer of the Dodgers or not. If he rejects that, he will enter free agency whereas the Dodgers will get a compensation pick. The Dodgers can then re-sign him on different terms.
