Phoenix Suns forward gives respect to Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo despite pulling off a monstrous dunk.

The Phoenix Suns continued their newfound form against the Milwaukee Bucks as they registered a two-point win, thanks to Devin Booker’s game-winner.

However, the real matchup was between Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo as both superstars contributed 30-plus points for their respective teams.

Antetokounmpo could have gone for a bigger night if it wasn’t for Durant’s teammate and Suns forward Ryan Dunn’s commendable defensive performance against the 2x NBA MVP.

In an era where most NBA stars rely on three-point shooting to score the majority of their points, the Greek Freak is old school.

Antetokounmpo uses his 6’11 physique to physically dominate his opponents. Keeping that in mind, Dunn labeled the Bucks superstar as a ‘real-life monster’ during the postgame conference.

“That’s a monster. That’s a real-life monster. He’s so aggressive. He takes no plays off, and his size, the way he just moves, and he’s very physical. That’s something he’s really good at,” Dunn said.

He added: “It was a tough task, but I think as a team we did a good job of just trying to make it tough for him.”

Dunn did mention that the Suns allowed Antetokounmpo to get some easy looks during the first quarter, but they made the required adjustments to contain him.

Despite that, Giannis finished the night with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in 37 minutes of playing time.

Apart from taking on the tough assignment of defending Giannis, Dunn left his mark on the offensive end of the floor. Dunn posterized the 2020 NBA Defensive Player of the Year during the third quarter.

The rookie forward spoke on his dunk after the game as well.

“It was crazy, I’m not gonna lie. Book had the pass. I knew he was gonna go contest it, so I was like, ‘I gotta try to dunk it on him.’

“Just closed my eyes, and I just heard everyone scream when I fell. I was like, ‘All right, I made it.’ It was a very cool in the moment.”

Dunking over one of the league’s biggest superstars is an unforgettable experience for any rookie player. So, it’s no surprise that Dunn wants to keep a poster of his insane dunk and hang it in his home.
