Harris Bold Claim! MLB Star Names the Players He’s Faster than – But Admits One Person Can Beat Him
Michael Harris II isn’t shy about his speed, and a recent MLB Office Hours video showcased just how competitive the Braves’ star outfielder can be. When asked to compare his speed to some of baseball’s fastest players, Harris didn’t hesitate to dish out his takes on who he’s faster than—and who might have him beat.
When it came to his Atlanta teammate Ozzie Albies, Harris answered with a confident, “Yes.” The same went for Lawrence Butler, as Harris immediately responded, “Of course.” When asked if they had ever raced, Harris confirmed they had, and it didn’t go well—for Butler.
Things got interesting when the conversation turned to Ronald Acuña Jr. Harris took a second to think before declaring, “I got him,” suggesting he holds the title as the fastest outfielder in Atlanta.
But when the names got tougher, Harris had to concede a few races. When asked about Cincinnati Reds sensation Elly De La Cruz, Harris thought for a moment before admitting, “Yeah, he’s got me.” The same went for Arizona Diamondbacks speedster Corbin Carroll, with Harris adding, “He moves really fast… he’s got me.”
Still, Harris remained confident against other competition. When Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s name was brought up, he quickly responded, “I got him.” He doubled down on beating Chandler Simpson as well, recalling a past race where he came out on top. “There’s a video out there—I beat him in a race when we were working out,” Harris said. “I don’t care if he ever beats me again, I already beat him, so I’m faster than him.”
This fun little video highlighted Harris’ ultra-competitive nature, showing that whether it’s an actual race or just a debate, he’s always ready to prove himself. And if anyone wants to challenge him, it sounds like he’s more than happy to settle it on the field. This also might cause some fun interactions on the ball field this 2025 season.
