Jets Receivers In ‘Right Mindset’ After Davante Adams Trade
When the New York Jets acquired Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, a big question surrounding the team would be how the rest of the wide receivers on the roster handled the trade.
After all, with Garrett Wilson seen as the top pass catcher on the roster, and with Allen Lazard and Mike Williams considered secondary options, New York has to find a way to fit all of the pass catchers in their offensive strategy.
There’s also a chance that New York could have upset some of their top skill players by taking the ball out of their hands to give Adams more targets. That isn’t the case to this point, though, as the team prepares for their Week 7 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Instead, it appears that Wilson, Lazard, and even Williams is more than pleased to have Adams on the team. “The entire receiver room was so receptive to the addition of Davante (Adams), which was awesome and then something I have been just blown away with,” Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said. “I mean we all know the player that Davante is but to get him in the building and start to get to know this man, he is just selfless, he is a great teammate, hard worker, he is not only going to help us between the white lines, but from a culture standpoint in the locker room.
“He has been an amazing, amazing addition. That wide receiver room has absolutely brought him in.”

It just shows that the team is still willing to be able to save their season despite the slow start overall.
