Jets Set to Soar: Gang Green Fully Ready to End Year on High Note vs. Dolphins
The New York Jets season is nearly over, with one game left for the franchise to get through before sweeping changes take place off the field.
Aaron Rodgers and his future is murky at best, along with other star players like Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams, but the roster has one last chance to get something positive from the year.
The Jets’ Week 18 matchup against the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium could be the last time we see several players pull on a New York uniform. With Miami potentially without Tua Tagovailoa, the Jets could grind out a win.
And that’s exactly what CBS Sports thinks they’ll do.
“The Dolphins need this game to have a playoff chance, but they might be without Tua Tagovailoa,” CBS Sports writes. “This is also a second straight road game, which isn’t easy. The Jets look like they have packed it in, but maybe one more game at home against the rival will get them to play. Jets win it.”
Finishing the season off with a win won’t change anything in the grand scheme of things, but it will leave a positive taste in fans’ mouths despite the obvious failures this year.
Thought to be a Super Bowl contender in preseason, the Jets, after starting 2-1, fell into a hole they couldn’t get out of.
Now, with one game left before changes both on and off the field will happen, this is the last chance to put on a show in what could be Rodgers’ last-ever game in the NFL, too.
