After Eddie Nketiah exit, Arsenal must seal three transfers including Simon Adingra deal

Arsenal could face a race to the finish line with several transfer deals this summer as the market comes to a close.

Mikel Arteta has already paid out to land Riccardo Calafiori, while Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino is expected to be the next Arsenal signing.

There have also been several outgoings for the Gunners, with Emile Smith Rowe the most notable departure from London Colney.

He may not be the only Hale End academy product to leave the club though, with Eddie Nketiah expected to complete a transfer switch to Crystal Palace.

Those deals may leave the Arsenal boss slightly short on numbers across his squad, leading to some potential incomings.

So with that said, here’s a look at three transfers Arsenal should look at sealing after Nketiah’s exit is confirmed.

Simon Adingra to Arsenal deal

One star Arsenal could look to sign is Brighton ace Simon Adingra, who is a promising youngster with plenty of potential.

The 22-year-old is capable of playing on either the right or left flank and would be a quality depth option for Arteta.

The Ivory Coast international has just two years remaining on his deal on the South Coast, which may open up a cheaper deal for the Gunners.

Adingra has one goal and one assist in the Premier League so far this season, despite not making a start for the Seagulls.

Reiss Nelson transfer exit

Should Adingra make the move to the Emirates Stadium, more room would have to be made within the squad.

Reiss Nelson may be the player to make way as the winger, who has often been a backup to Bukayo Saka, has struggled to make an impact on the first team.

Three years are remaining on the 24-year-old’s deal at Arsenal, with the option of an extra year, meaning that the Gunners could maximise their profit.

It remains to be seen how much of a place Nelson may have left in Arteta’s plans though, with a big season up ahead.

Victor Osimhen to Arsenal transfer hijack

With one centre-forward leaving the club, Arsenal could look to bolster their options in that position late in the window.

Several names have been linked with a switch, but the most prominent of which has been Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian international is a quality player in the box, capable of finishing his chances, but he is also able to offer plenty more.

The 25-year-old has incredible pace to stretch the pitch in behind, but he isn’t afraid of a duel against defenders either.

With a move away from Napoli on the cards – as rivals Chelsea lurk – Arsenal could look to hijack any deal and land Osimhen for themselves.

It would represent a huge leap in the Premier League title picture for the Gunners, who are close to landing the trophy for themselves.
