Arsenal agree £25m transfer amid exclusive Darwin Nunez and striker chase latest

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is edging closer to securing an exit from the club in the final days of the transfer market.

The 26-year-old has been linked with an exit throughout the summer window, with interest from the likes of Wolves and Ajax.

However, it’s Southampton who appear to have won the race to land Ramsdale before transfer deadline day.

According to a report from Sky Sports, the Saints have agreed a deal with Arsenal worth an initial £18million.

It’s a move which could rise to £25million, if performance-related add-ons are achieved over the course of the season.

There are some final details which will have to be ironed out before the deal is confirmed, though it is nearing completion.

Arsenal exploring Sam Tickle deal

With Ramsdale seemingly on his way out of the club, Arsenal are looking at some potential options to replace the goalkeeper.

Plenty of options who could be number two to David Raya have been linked for the final few days of the transfer window.

Espanyol star Joan Garcia has been rumoured with a move to Arsenal, with personal terms already agreed.

However, should a late switch for the Spaniard not go ahead, the Gunners are also looking at other players.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are showing interest in Wigan goalkeeper Sam Tickle as a potential option between the sticks.

The 22-year-old impressed in League One last season as the first-choice option for the Latics, becoming a key player.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can confirm a late switch for the goalkeeper before the end of the transfer window.

Arsenal striker transfer latest

With just a few hours remaining in the summer transfer window, Arsenal fans are awaiting a possible deal to sign a new forward option.

With Eddie Nketiah set to leave the Emirates Stadium in favour of Crystal Palace, there have been talks surrounding a possible replacement.

Liverpool star Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move to Arsenal, though it may be one that is unlikely this late in the window.

Arsenal Insider sources have revealed that as things stand, Mikel Arteta isn’t looking to sign another striker this summer.

It remains to be seen whether that could change, with the market set to move very quickly as moves progress.
