That, in our view, is a solid summer, but there are many people who feel Arsenal should’ve added more to their attack before the window shut.

Arsenal think they’re among the frontrunners to sign Nico Williams in 2025
Nico Williams was linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the summer transfer window.
The Athletic Bilbao star has been a wanted man for several months, and some of the biggest clubs in the world have been chasing him.
Williams decided to stay at Bilbao in the summer, and that forced Arsenal to go after other targets. Sterling has been brought in as a short-term option.
In 2025, GiveMeSport claim that Arsenal want a permanent solution for the flanks, and Williams is their number one target.
The report claims that Arsenal are refusing to rule out the possibility of signing the Spaniard because he ‘did not dismiss the idea of heading to North London’ when the Gunners were chasing him this summer.
The Premier League runners-up are aware of Barcelona’s interest in the ‘world-class‘ Williams, but it has been revealed that Arsenal are ‘adamant that they are among the frontrunners for Williams’ services’ if he decides to leave Bilbao in 2025.
The Euro 2024 winner’s £50 million release clause will remain active next year, and Arsenal could trigger that to get him out of San Mames at the end of this season.
What should Arsenal do with Raheem Sterling?
Sterling looked really sharp in his first training session at Arsenal following his deadline-day move from Chelsea.
The Englishman has the ability to become a real star for the Gunners, and he is said to be prepared to do everything he can to help them win the Premier League this season.
Arsenal don’t have an option to make Sterling’s move permanent in 2025, but there will definitely be a deal to be done if they want to.
However, we think Sterling should be sent back and Arsenal must go all out for Nico Williams, who is younger and has a much higher ceiling than the England international.
Sterling could go on to have an unbelievable campaign this season, but the fact that he will turn 30 in December means he just can’t be viewed as a long-term option for Arsenal.
