Arsenal chiefs have looked at signing ‘dangerous’ £50m attacker who’s even quicker than Kingsley Coman

Arsenal are beginning to come to life once against in the summer transfer market as rumours begin to surface with the deadline in sight.

The Gunners did the majority of their business earlier on in the transfer window, welcoming the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya permanently from Brentford.

Arsenal have enjoyed a perfect start to the season with two wins from two, which has perhaps slightly taken a bit of pressure off Mikel Arteta in the remaining days of the transfer window.

Although, that doesn’t appear to have slowed his thinking down as an attacker is being looked at.

Arsenal eyeing potential move for Simon Adingra of Brighton

Kaya Kaynak of Football London has reported today that Arsenal have had a look at a move for Brighton’s Simon Adingra.

However, there is a caveat as it goes on to state that he could cost up to £50million.

This interest isn’t something new as the Gunners have been eyeing Adingra since the January transfer window.

Despite limited chances so far this season at the Seagulls, former Arsenal star Danny Welbeck is a big fan of Adingra as he described him and Kaoru Mitoma as ‘very dangerous’ last season.

Who else is out there for Arsenal to sign?

There’s no doubting Adingra’s qualities but for someone who only managed seven goals and three assists last season, £50 million seems like a bit of a gamble.

Arsenal have privately spoken about signing Kingsley Coman but they face competition from Tottenham, and the Bayern Munich star has a huge Saudi offer on the table.

Interestingly, the Brighton midfielder clocked in at 33.92 km/h last season against Manchester City, which trumps Kingsley Coman who reached a top speed of 33 km/h at the Euros this summer.

Nico Williams is another who could join Arsenal before the deadline, with Charles Watts refusing to rule out a late move for the Spaniard.

When you look at the impact Williams made at the Euros and last season at Athletic Bilbao with 19 assists and eight goals, it’s hard to justify a big-money move for Adingra ahead of him.
