Arsenal consider late bid for ‘very dangerous’ £50m forward, but there could be a problem

With just days of the transfer window to go, Arsenal could still be busy with one, two or possibly even three new arrivals in north London.

Arsenal considering move for Simon Adingra as Nico Williams alternative

Arsenal admire Adingra’s talent at Brighton, just as a lot of clubs do right now, and have been scouting the winger ever since he arrived in England.

However, Brighton have no intention to sell Adingra right now, even if he hasn’t started in their opening two games of the season.

Brighton reportedly want £50m for Adingra this summer, a player who remains a big part of their plans.

Therefore, at that price Arsenal may even consider that they’d be better off pursuing Nico Williams at Athletic Club, who was thought to be Arteta’s number one target.

Interestingly, it was former Arsenal player Danny Welbeck who hailed Adingra has a ‘very dangerous’ talent, also referring to Kaoru Mitoma.

Two wingers that Edu would surely love to bring to north London at the right price.

Is Raheem Sterling still Arsenal’s best bet before deadline day?

Of course, given that Adingra could be incredibly hard to prise away from Brighton as described, Arsenal may even turn to a late bid for Raheem Sterling.

It’s been widely reported that Sterling is free to leave Chelsea this summer, Enzo Maresca doesn’t require the services of the England international.

And as a squad player, Sterling could be an excellent signing for Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola has already explained why Sterling would suit Arsenal, a player who Arteta is also fond of from their time together at Manchester City.

And if Adingra is off-limits at Brighton, then Sterling would certainly be a signing who could help Arsenal achieve immediate success.
