Arsenal is set to make last minute move to sign ‘world-class’ winger before deadline day

Arsenal could be set for a bust end to the summer transfer window as they work on a number of deals in and out of the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta has recently admitted that his squad is a little short so there’s expected to be movement in the final few days of the summer transfer window.

Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino is on the verge of joining Arsenal and it’s thought an attacker remains on the radar, especially with Eddie Nketiah in talks to join Crystal Palace.

Arsenal could still move for Federico Chiesa

Arsenal have been linked to Juventus winger Federico Chiesa for most of the summer transfer window and his agent has reportedly held talks with the club.

It looked as though a move to Barcelona was almost complete, however, it seems Arsenal and Chelsea remain in the race to sign him.

That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Forza Juventus, who claim the two Premier League sides are still keen to sign the Italy international before the window slams shut on Friday.

Chiesa has been excluded from Thiago Motta’s Juventus plans and is thought to be available for just £13m.

Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in Chiesathis window.

Federico Chiesa statistics

Chiesa, who is out of contract next summer, enjoyed a productive season for the Turin titans last term.

The 26-year-old netted 10 times whilst laying on three assists and featured in all four of Italy’s games at Euro 2024.

The jet-heeled winger has been labelled as ‘world class’ per Sports View.
