Arsenal ‘ready’ to finally sign Bukayo Saka help who is perfect in position amid Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham talk

Newcastle United could face tough competition from Arsenal in the race to sign Antoine Semenyo, according to Caught Offside. The 24-year-old winger has enjoyed a brilliant start to the Premier League season with Bournemouth, reportedly attracting interest from some top clubs.

The Mapies had previously shown interest in several right-wing transfer options over the summer, initially expressing interest in Michael Olise before his move to Bayern Munich. They made a late enquiry for Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga but decided not to pursue further and kept their options open.

After a summer that saw minimal spending on new signings, Newcastle could be gearing up for some January additions, with Semenyo attracting attention from several clubs. Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have also been linked, but now Caught Offside claim Arsenal are planning a double Bournemouth raid.

The Magpies could potentially offer Semenyo more first-team football. Eddie Howe has utilised Jacob Murphy, Miguel Almiron and Anthony Gordon on the right-hand side of his forward line at various points this season.

Almiron was rumoured to be on his way out of Newcastle last summer, but no suitable offer came in, despite interest from Charlotte FC in the MLS. It’s unclear whether any future bids will force United’s hand, but it seems Newcastle may need to move quickly if they want to bring Semenyo to Tyneside.

He has already scored three goals and provided one assist this season, making a name for himself at Bristol City. He is familiar with the North East, having spent time on loan at Sunderland in 2020.
