Arsenal sets to‘hijack’ Chelsea’s move to sign ‘world-class’ striker late in the window
Arsenal may not have given up on signing a new striker this summer.
The Gunners have signed David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori on permanent deals already in this window, while Mikel Merino is all set to be announced as a new Arsenal player too.
Those are three very, very good additions to this already strong side, but many feel bringing a new striker to the Emirates will take the Gunners to a whole new level.

Arsenal could make 11th-hour bid to sign Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time.
Before the summer transfer window opened, many people expected the Nigerian to be involved in one of the biggest deals of the year.
However, for one reason or another, Osimhen is still at Napoli and time is running out for him to find a new club as the window shuts on Friday.
Rudy Galetti has revealed on TeamTalk that Saudi clubs have walked away from the deal because Osimhen doesn’t want to move to the Middle East.
Osimhen’s agent has confirmed that he wants to stay in Europe, which is a big boost to interested clubs on the continent.
Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea remain interested in the Nigeria forward, but the most interesting news is about Arsenal.
The report claims that the Gunners ‘asked again for information on Osimhen’ recently and it remains a possibility that they could ‘hijack the move at the 11th hour’ of the window.
Signing Osimhen after Raya, Calafiori and Merino would make this an unreal summer for Arsenal.
Osimhen can do one thing that Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus can’t
Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are Arsenal’s main options up front right now, and they are both top-class players who have the ability to deliver at the highest level.
However, there is one thing that they simply cannot guarantee – scoring 25 goals a season.
Osimhen, branded as ‘world-class’ by Jose Mourinho on AS Roma’s website, has the ability to score over 25 goals a campaign.
He is incredibly prolific, and with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli around him, we are convinced he will become Arsenal’s top scorer if he joins them.
However, the Gunners will have to spend big to land him – we’re not convinced that they are prepared to do that in the final days of the window.
