Arsenal transfer being worked on by Edu can hand Mikel Arteta Premier League title

Edu can make a statement at Arsenal before deadline day as one player has been linked with a move.

The clock is ticking in the summer transfer window and still, Arsenal have only welcomed one new face to the Emirates.

Riccardo Calafiori is the only new addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad, with David Raya also making his move from Brentford permanent to mark another incoming transaction.

There are many reasons why Osimhen would be a good fit for Arsenal, the most prominent being how his profile would suit the playmaking qualities of Martin Odegaard.

Since the start of 2024, the Gunners captain has recorded the most accurate through balls in the Premier League with 14, five more than the elusive Kevin De Bruyne.

The statistic reinforces the quality that the Norwegian has to offer Arsenal’s front line and more so the impact he could have on a striker of Osimhen’s style.

Scouting site Breaking The Lines described the Arsenal target as a ‘very fast’ forward whose ‘recognition of space’ is applaudable, traits that Odegaard could exploit with his ability to split opponents with a pass.

Recruiting a striker who has netted 76 goals in only 133 appearances at Napoli and fusing him with Odegaard could be a title-winning combination for Edu to form, with links to the forward coming at a crucial time.
