Arsenal transfer rumours: Medical complete, Thomas Partey exit, goalkeeper update

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is set to confirm an exit from the club in the coming days ahead of the transfer deadline.

The Hale End academy graduate is readying a switch to Crystal Palace worth an initial £25million potentially rising to £30million in add-ons.

The 25-year-old has played 168 times for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring 38 goals and assisting seven.

With his move on the horizon, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano confirms that Nketiah has since completed his medical at Selhurst Park.

It means the England international is just a few steps away from confirming the transfer, ending a long-running association with Arsenal.

That is despite recent links with a move for Darwin NunezVictor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres.

Thomas Partey transfer exit

Another Arsenal player who has faced an uncertain future as of late has been midfielder Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian international is into the final year of his deal at the Emirates Stadium, with his squad status dwindling over the past year.

The 31-year-old has been rumoured with interest from the likes of Juventus and Saudi Arabian clubs over the past 12 months but seems set for a stay with the Gunners for now.

However, with the recent signing of Mikel Merino in the midfield ranks, a move could be on the cards for Partey.

According to Football Transfers, the experienced Arsenal man could be set to leave in January, with a new contract offer unlikely at this stage.

Partey has played in both of Arsenal’s Premier League matches this season, scoring one of the winning goals in the victory over Aston Villa.

The former Atletico Madrid player faces a huge few months in regards to his future though, with Mikel Arteta still looking to evolve his midfield ranks.

Arsenal goalkeeper update

The final two days of the transfer window could see some big changes once again in the Arsenal goalkeeping ranks.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Southampton have agreed a fee with the Gunners for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale worth up to £25million.

With the England international set to move to the south coast, there is a need to add another backup to the squad.

Romano adds that Arsenal are set to accelerate on a deal for Joan Garcia of Espanyol as their main target.

Personal terms have already been agreed with the Spaniard over a deal, though a club-to-club agreement is yet to be reached.
