Riccardo Calafiori makes promise to Arsenal fans

Summer signing Riccardo Calafiori has been outstanding in his performances so far, with the Italian heavily impressing with his skill on the ball and his ability to invert into midfield.

There have been one or two occasions where Calafiori was beaten too easily defensively, but the left-back has admitted that he still has room for improvement.

“It’s going very well at Arsenal and in six months, it will be even better, you’ll see,” Calafiori promised.

“My life has changed being at Arsenal, I can feel the responsibility. And I like it, I love when people expect many things from me.

Arsenal set Thomas Partey contract stance

Veteran midfielder Thomas Partey has seen his fitness and performance levels improve this season after a difficult campaign in which he missed significant spells through injury.

The 31-year-old is now in the final year of his contract, with his future at Arsenal far from certain.

Arsenal Insider have now revealed that Arsenal are considering offering Partey a new deal, but only if he can continue to perform at a high level whilst staying fit.

Partey is one of the squad’s highest earners, and a new deal would come with a lot of risk, but with his performances now strong as a regular starter, the door is certainly not closed when it comes to extending his deal.

David Raya makes ‘angry’ Mikel Arteta admission

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has been truly outstanding this season, and is now getting recognition for his strong performances.

The 29-year-old is in the Spain squad, and he was asked about the differences between Mikel Arteta and former Spain manager Luis Enrique.

Raya then admitted that Arteta and the current Paris Saint-Germain manager both reach similar levels of anger, and explained when the Arsenal squad typically feel his wrath.

“I think they are on par,” Raya stated about the two managers.

“When they get angry, they both have character. In Arteta’s case, when he has to get angry, he does. Sometimes, we players have to wake up, it’s normal because it’s good for the team.”
