Arsenal already find themselves in the first international break of the season and at the moment they can be satisfied with the performances they have put in.
The Gunners have managed to accumulate seven points from a possible nine on offer against a less than straightforward opposition. Mikel Arteta will point towards the victory over Aston Villa as the standout performance of the season so far.
Heading to Villa Park with anticipation high among the home fans due to a return to the Champions League this year, coupled with the fact it was their first home match of the season made it a tricky test. And yet, Arsenal eventually looked comfortable in victory as substitute Leandro Trossard helped turn the game in his team’s favour.
Unfortunately, the last match before the international break ended on a sour note for the North London club. A draw at home to Brighton and Hove Albion is less than ideal albeit many clubs will drop points to them this season.
It was rather the manner of the result which proved to be difficult for Arsenal to stomach. Key man Declan Rice was sent off for a controversial second yellow card and his absence from the team cost them an equaliser.
Perhaps more importantly though, Rice will now be missing from the clash with Tottenham Hotspur after the international break. Arteta will be thinking hard about how to replace the midfielder for the big game.
Arsenal were handed a huge injury scare on Sunday after Bukayo Saka was seen limping off in the 86th minute in their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, and an update has emerged concerning his fitness. The England international attacker has been suffering with cramps and the Gunners are confident he will make a full recovery this week, according…

Arsenal see their strong and unbeaten start to the Premier League season interrupted yet again by the international break. The second of three breaks before the new year, the next in November, Arsenal sit joint on points with Manchester City and after four wins in a row, Mikel Arteta would surely like to be cracking on…
Arsenal are potentially back in the hunt to bring Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zudimendi to the Emirates Stadium as they create a backup plan for the potential departure of veteran star Thomas Partey, per teamTALK. The Ghanaian international has less than a year remaining on his current contract. Several Saudi and Turkish clubs have enquired…
Let’s cast your mind back to January 2024. Arsenal were in a rut and it was a run of form that likely ultimately cost them the league title. The goals were not flowing with a run around the New Year period where they scored just once across three games meaning a new striker was a priority. Ivan Toney was…
