‘What a player’ Jesus seemingly gives approval for Arsenal to snap up departing German star

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has sent a three-word message to Ilkay Gundogan with the reports in the media that he is no longer wanted at Barcelona and will leave the Spanish giants before the close of the transfer window.

The former Manchester City midfielder opted for a move to Spain in the summer of 2023 over signing a contract extension at Etihad Stadium, and he quickly become a big part of the side.

However – over the past few days it has been revealed that he is now leaving Barcelona and he could now be returning to the Premier League, with reports that Man City are open to bringing the player back to the club.

However – Jesus has seemingly given his approval for ARSENAL to make a move as has sent a three-word message to Ilkay Gundogan – In the replies of an Instagram post after Gundogan announced his international retirement, his former Man City teammate Jesus simply said: “What a player.”

Gundogan clearly has the seal of approval with Jesus and if a return to Man City does not materialise, Arsenal could go in for him. When his future was uncertain 12 months ago, the Gunners were linked to the midfielder as a potential return with Mikel Arteta was on the cards.

Gundogan is a world class player that has achieved everything he possibly can in the game – he would add some much needed experience to that ARSENAL side – but we just cant see this happen.

He is loved by Man City – he loves the Manchester giants and moving to Arsenal, Man Cit’s biggest rivals right now, would probably be seen as a betrayal – especially as the Premier League Champions are interested in a move.

But it will be interesting to see where the German actually ends up that is for sure.
