Lindor Drops Bombshell! Mets Star Big Announcement Sends Shockwaves

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor finished second in 2024 National League MVP voting, trailing only Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani for the prestigious award. Posting a career-best 138 OPS+ last season, Lindor tallied 33 home runs, 91 RBI and 29 stolen bases while leading New York to the National League Championship Series.

Entering the fourth season of his 10-year, $341 million contract with the Mets, Lindor remains in pursuit of a World Series title. Coming within one game of a championship in 2016 while in Cleveland, Lindor has returned to the postseason five times since then, with last season’s NLCS being his deepest run in that span.

As Lindor prepares for his 11th MLB season, the four-time All-Star made a big announcement on Instagram in a joint post with his wife, Katia Lindor. According to the couple, they will soon welcome their third child, a baby boy.

“All your guesses end in 3…2…1… (watch ‘till the end),” the couple wrote in a joint post on Sunday. “We’ve got a lot to say about growing our family — catch us both on @theunaparent this Thursday for the season 4 finale episode.”

The video concluded with the words, “Baby Boy Coming Soon.”

Francisco and Katia Lindor have two daughters together, Kalina Zoé (4) and Amapola Chloé (1) and first shared they were expected a third child on Dec. 13, 2024 via Instagram. The couple has now announced the big news they are expecting their first son, and that he is coming soon.
