Lions Fans Stays Fearless: Majority Still Believe Detroit Will Reign Supreme In NFC North
It appears the Lions’ recent loss to the Bills and injury woes have taken a toll on fans’ confidence as there was a firm dip in this week’s survey. After spending the majority of the season with 90+% of fans believing the Lions were headed in the right direction, this week, that number dropped to 86%—the second lowest percentage on the season.
The Lions have sent a clear message that they’re not feeling sorry for themselves, and at 12-2 on the season, they still realize the opportunity in front of them. And that leads us to our second survey question, will the Lions seize their opportunity to win the NFC North?
In the original survey article, we went into detail and explained how the Lions control their own destiny due to having a tiebreaker advantage over the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers likely being eliminated from contention this week. We also discussed why this control has led to the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, still having the Lions as the favorites to win the NFC North.
The majority of Lions’ fans (81%) believe that despite their obstacles, the Lions will take care of business and win the division.
Additionally, SB Nation also ran a national survey asking who would cover the Lions -6.5 spread over the Chicago Bears, set by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, and the national audience continues to side with Detroit, with 86% of national fans believing the Lions win and cover.
