The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t won a game since their Week 4 victory against the Cleveland Browns, and are in the middle of the longest active losing streak (8) in the NFL.
In what has been a disaster of a season, the Raiders have made multiple quarterback changes, traded away All-Pro receiver Davante Adams and fired three offensive staffers. Even with all of these changes, the team has struggled to find any semblance of success, and questions about Antonio Pierce’s future as the head coach continue to get louder.
While the Raiders fans are likely disappointed with how this season has gone, it’s hard to imagine that any of them are as frustrated as All-Pro pass rusher Maxx Crosby. On a recent episode of the “Let’s Go!” podcast, Crosby revealed just how hard this losing streak has been on him.
“Of course, I’m competitive as they come,” Crosby said. “I put all my time, and effort, and spirit and soul into this…into being the best version of myself. I care about winning more than anything on the planet. So, yeah, there were points in the season where I feel like I was losing my mind. I had to really reset.”
Even despite all of the losses piling up and interest from other teams growing, Crosby has remained loyal to the Silver and Black. A stance that becomes even more impressive when you realize the 27-year-old has been a part of just one winning season during his career.
It is also a stance that Crosby himself acknowledged helps him be a leader of the team.
