Micah Parsons’ Shot at Tyreek Hill: A Unique Pitch to Lure the Cheetah to Big D
While the Dallas Cowboys’ 2024 season veered far off course from initial expectations, linebacker Micah Parsons continued his dominant play. Parsons received his fourth Pro Bowl nod over his first four seasons in the NFL.
But while the Cowboys prepare for a pivotal offseason with numerous question marks looming, Parsons is already in full recruitment mode.
Comments made by Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill, in which he told reporters he’s “opening the door” and is “out,” suggesting he’s eyeing a fresh start and potential trade, quickly went viral. In turn, Parsons jumped on social media and pitched the 30-year-old wide receiver on a future with a star on his helmet.
Parsons tagged Hill on X, stating that the two can “be the fastest duo in the league” while reminding him that the Cowboys “don’t have state income taxes.”
While Parsons’ pitch to Hill generated plenty of buzz amid the Cowboys fanbase, it’s tough to envision Jerry Jones opting to strike a deal for Hill. The eight-time Pro Bowler is the fifth-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, making $30 million annually and the Cowboys are less than one year removed from making CeeDee Lamb the No. 2 highest-paid player at the position.
However, Jones has typically not shied away from making a splash, even if he’s been more reserved in recent years. While the allure of a Lamb/Hill one-two punch should entice Jones, the possibility of Hill landing with the Cowboys is still an extreme longshot.
