MLB Honors: 2024 Awards Schedule and Finalists Announced
Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge are among the MLB stars expected to receive hardware this week, with the winners of the 2024 Baseball Writers Association of America awards set to be unveiled.
The winners of the four major honors — Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP — in each league will be announced across four evenings, beginning on Monday.
On the heels of the first 50-50 season in MLB history, Ohtani is expected to cap the week with his third MVP award. Judge, who smacked a league-high 58 home runs, is poised to become the AL MVP for the second time.
While the MVPs are all but decided, other awards carry far more intrigue. The NL Rookie of the Year competition is a neck-and-neck race between flame-throwing Paul Skenes and do-it-all Jackson Merrill; meanwhile, Atlanta’s Chris Sale and Philadelphia’s Zack Wheeler are each vying for the NL Cy Young.
The Sporting News has you covered with everything that you need to know about watching this year’s MLB Awards.
The winners for the four major awards in each league will be announced live on the MLB Network throughout the week of Mon., Nov. 18. See below for a complete schedule for the unveiling of this year’s MLB awards.
