Mullin Loses It! NBA Legend Blown Away by Warriors Star Jaw-Dropping Performance

The Golden State Warriors are 3-1 since Jimmy Butler joined the team at the trade deadline.

While the Warriors let a close game get away against the Dallas Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors, got back on track against the Houston Rockets.

In a game that pitched the 11th seed against the fourth seed Rockets, Golden State came out on top 105-98.

The Warriors did not have to rely on Stephen Curry either. Consistent scoring from each of the starting five saw all of them hit double figures, including Jimmy Butler who scored 19 points.

Brandin Podziemski performance praised

One of the disappointments for the Golden State Warriors this season has been sophomore player Brandin Podziemski.

Podziemski has struggled in 2024-25, with his three-point shooting percentage dipping from 38.5 per cent last season to 32 per cent.

Coach Steve Kerr criticized his decision making earlier in the season, and his starting opportunities have been reduced.

But after his 18-point performance against the Rockets, in which he still only went 2-7 from three, Warriors legend Chris Mullin believes he has seen positive signs.

Mullin explained: “Two things with Podz, he’s fit, he looks really healthy, he’s moving around the floor beautifully offensively and defensively.

“With that he’s knocking down three point shots. He has confidence.

“He’s back to Podz from last year, his All-Rookie team.”

Podziemski still needs to return stronger after the All-Star break, to really show he is ‘back’, and try and build some momentum as the Warriors push for the playoffs.

Jimmy Butler impact praised

The Warriors have a spring in their step after the move to acquire Jimmy Butler, and the win over the Rockets has been labelled an example of his impact.

Mullin explained: “A game like tonight, I’m not sure they win this game two weeks ago.

“Since Jimmy Butler has arrived, they are dominating free throws, they are dominating turnovers.”

Warriors star Draymond Green spoke out to underline Butler’s impact following the victory.

He explained: “He’s helping revitalize what we’ve got here. The belief amongst this team now that he’s arrived as opposed to what it was before he got here, it’s night and day.”
