Myles Garrett to the City of Brotherly Love: Eagles Heavy Favorites to Sign PFF’s 2024 Defensive Player of the Year
The Philadelphia Eagles are projected to be in the market for a stud pass rusher this offseason due to potentially losing Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, and Milton Williams come March.
That means Howie Roseman will be looking across the league to work his magic on filling such a huge void, and according to several trade rumors plus DraftKings, Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett could be their guy.
Currently at DraftKings, the Eagles are +450 favorites to land Garrett, but they’re in a close race with NFC East rival Washington Commanders at +300.
The Buffalo Bills are sitting with the third-best adds at +550, and the Detroit Lions have +650 odds.
Of course, Roseman and the Eagles will have to do what financially makes sense, which could ultimately mean paying Sweat and Williams to stay put as opposed to making a costly trade. Per several experts, the Eagles would be looking to need to give up at least one first-round draft pick, and then some, for Garrett.
However, it’s hard to argue that he wouldn’t be worth the high price given his 2024 production.
Garrett, who made it known he is ready to move on from Cleveland, finished the 2024 NFL season logging a league-best 83 total pressures from 477 pass-rush snaps, including 13 QB hits and 56 QB hurries. He also recorded 14 sacks to become the only player in NFL history with 14 or more sacks in four straight seasons.
His 92.7 overall grade led all defenders and he was named PFF’s Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row.
