The Philadelphia Eagles were almost unstoppable en route to the Super Bowl as they demolished their opponents with relative ease.
In fact, the Eagles scored 95 points in their final two games of the season. That sort of number was always likely to be enough to claim a Super Bowl championship.
As if having the number one defense in the league wasn’t enough, they had one of the greatest rushing attacks in history with the record-breaking Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts’ legs.
They were led into battle by head coach Nick Sirianni – a man who has now made two Super Bowls this decade. Only Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs can match that.
Ryan Clark believes Hurts was locked in for the Eagles’ Super Bowl dominance, as he led the team in rushing as well as passing very well.
They may have been aided by what Greg Olsen believes is a Nick Sirianni and Eagles advantage, with their head coach not having to call any plays and being able to stand on the field dedicated to being a leader.

Any man who leads a team to the playoffs in four consecutive seasons is likely to be a popular man within the building.
At one point in the season, Sirianni’s job with the Eagles was not safe, which sounds crazy to say considering what they ended up achieving.
After starting 2-2, they made some excellent adjustments and went 16-1 across the rest of the season. They proved that they are the NFL’s team to beat.
Jason McCourty revealed just how much the organisation loves Sirianni for what he has done, but also how much he loves them back.
“We spoke to CJ Gardner Johnson earlier in the year, and we asked him about Nick Sirianni,” he said.
“He talked about how crazy Sirianni is. The one thing they know is that he loves them as players and they love playing for him.”

Looking at the Eagles’ roster, they have a few decisions to make in the off-season, but nothing that should alter the course of the organisation in the long term.
Their general manager – Howie Roseman, is considered to be one of the best in the business and has been credited with much of their recent success.
From managing and structuring contracts to signing the right players in free agency and making the right picks in the NFL draft.
Bringing Barkley and Zack Baun to the team were critical decisions last year, and now he must find a way to keep the latter on the roster heading into 2025.
Baun was a Defensive Player of the Year finalist and should be up for a big contract. He’s earned a significant raise from the $5 million he made in 2024.
